Curettes and Probes

Curettes and Probes

Description : A selection of blunt wax hooks, curettes and probes are necessary for the removal of wax and foreign bodies from the ear canal.

We have found the Jobson Horne probe, the Buck blunt ear curette and the St Bartholomew's Hospital blunt hook to be particularly useful.

In inexperienced hands, a sharp wax hook or curette can easily traumatize the delicate canal skin.

The Jobson Horne probe doubles as a cotton wool carrier or, alternatively, a silver Hunter‑Todd probe may also be used as a cotton‑tipped applicator.
